I recently upgraded to the new Festool TS55R. That means my old TS55 is up for grabs! Festool was kind enough to completely refurbish my old saw so that we can give it away to one lucky winner. To enter, put your email in the box below. One entry per person, please. International entries are welcome, though you might have some issues with the plug.

    By the way, do you still break down sheet goods with the MFT, or have you switched over to the foam-by-fours on the floor?
    
    And realistically speaking, how thick a piece of stock can the blade handle reliably? Not that I’m planning on tackling 12/4 bubinga with one, but if it *could*, that would make the saw that much more functional and practical.
    
    (I assume, also, that this giveaway is just for the saw, and not for a combination of a saw and collector?)

I can change a plug easily, but not the voltage. Is this a 220/230 V or a 110/120 V saw?
And BTW, yes, I would also love to have at signed :-)

  for all those that have 220-230V plugs, it’s quiet easy to change the voltage to 110, all you have to do is to buy a trafo that is suitable for the power of the saw and have ratio of 1:2. very easy and cheap. :)

I think this is really cool of you, and a signed copy would be great. I think your you tube videos are great and have inspired me many times over, so thanks for that. I would have trouble giving away the saw as you put it helped to start everything, I would have kept it and handed it down to my son if I had been you.

I’m a set designer an I go trough a lot of sheet good. Usually I work alone in my backyard cause i don’t have a shop for now. To cut plywood I have a contractor table saw that I can roll in the shed when it start raining . It’s not a good set up. I never had a chance to try a Tracksaw but i know it would be a lot safer. I’d love to win your Tracksaw, Mark… it would be cutting a lot of interesting stuff that you might even see on TV someday.

I too have found breaking down sheet goods in a square fashion, a circular saw on foam can leave too much tearout. A new saw would definitely be welcome, thank you for the chance to have one with history!

I see what looks like an extension wing on the right side (viewer’s right) of the MFT.

  That’s the old extension offered by Festool for the previous iteration of the MFT. I don’t know if they sell one for the newer tables but I adapted my old one to fit.

I too became enamored with the -R version of the TS-55, so I did what you are doing, I gave my saw (and a track) to my son two states away. He is happy, I am happy.

Your videos have helped my wood working tremendously. I just finished a kitchen and vanities for my new house and used several of your finishing suggestions and wood working techniques. General Finishes waterborne stain, spraying clear with hvlp, and many more. Prettiest stuff i have ever made!

Great give away Mark. I’m in the middle of a project for our church right now I wish I had turned down. No money in it for me and I’m having to break down sheet goods with I jig saw. Safer than using my contractors saw but a lot more waste.

I submitted an entry, then heard about the Festool reconditioned sale. I figured there was little to no chance that I would win so I decided to jump on the sale. I used the track saw for the first time today…Is this how the 1% lives? I got the smoothest cleanest cut I have ever made in my life. One of the few tools that im missing at the moment on my upcoming shop… and i dont have a big panel saw to cut larger pieces down to smaller size.

This wood be an awesome upgrade, especially with some hot arizona signature on it.. :)
