These non-toxic spatulas are made by hand in the Wood Whisperer shop. Great for sautéing, mixing, flipping, or even use two of them as salad tongs! Because they’re made from wood they won’t scratch your non-stick pan or precious cast iron seasoning. We only use non-toxic wood species and non-toxic oil/wax blends for finishing, so our spatulas are perfectly safe for the kitchen.
Some History: I’ve been delving into the joys of cast iron cooking for a few years now and really enjoy watching Cowboy Kent Rollins on YouTube. He frequently uses a thicker version of this sort of wooden spatula. Another company that sells them is Earlywood Designs, manufacturers of amazing wooden utensils of all kinds. I don’t know who came up with the design first or if it was someone else entirely, but I have to give them both credit for inspiring me to make my own. Since then, family and friends have requested them and even some viewers and followers have asked if we’d ever make them for sale. So here we are. We hope you use it in good health!
