Chad’s G & G Grandfather Clock

This is the final project that my Father and I will get to do together. Dad has Parkinson’s and is not able to do woodworking any longer. We built this clock not long after I took a class at the William Ng school with Marc. Greene and Greene was the focus of the class. The Grandfather Clock was presented to my oldest sister for a Christmas gift. It was a big hit!

I’ve often thought I would like to build a Grandfather clock but never saw a design I liked well enough, or maybe even a combination of several designs. But yours is outstanding. This one I would do if I could get back in the shop any time soon.

Thank you for sharing your clock with us. My Dad had a true Regulator school clock with octagon quartersawn white oak face, date, minute and hour hands, and a chime movement. Somehow it got away from me when he died. If I can ever find a good movement, dial, bezel, and plans to build one, I will. At 67 time grows shorter every day.
