And instead of just doing a boring sales announcement video, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to the folks behind the scenes who make it all happen: my mom and step-dad. Without them, I am confident that we wouldn’t even have a store. There just isn’t enough time in the day for me and Nicole to fulfill the orders. I hope you enjoy!

  I’m not sure if this makes it worse or better, but that’s not wood. Its a commercial quality desk with a nearly bullet proof finish over laminate. I’m pretty sure I could throw the thing in a pool and it would be fine. :)

A bit more seriously, thank you, Marc, for the excellent videos. I haven’t even got started with woodworking, but I’m seriously thinking about it as a way of working with my young son (he’ll be much better than me). You are helping to that end.

ConGradulations Mum and Dad will be a big help there baby sitting We have 5 Grand children. I missed out on the Xmas July Sale. May – be on are visit to the west coast in september i can pick up some stuff to bring home with me

Well, Happy Day After Christmas in July! Thank you all for the kind words and the tremendous response to our sale. Arlie and I will be quite busy for the next few days! We really do enjoy working with Marc and Nicole and this great community. And as far as we’re concerned, this expected grandchild is all the “pay back” we will ever need. Nice mail room setup! I like the card board brake/bender also. Looks like it could work for helping to slice it also. So nice you can be close to your family and they to you!

Great Video, I find it very interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes of a business big or small. I have watched all your videos, I am 15 and i find them to be very interesting. I was Able to convince my parents to build me a wood shop underneath our garage, its about 11’x 25′ so its a little small but fully equipped with all new machinery. Wow, That will teach me for not checking the website for a while. I would have definitely ordered a travel mug at the 25% off. Oh well, snooze you lose.

Very cool Marc. I’m impressed how quickly you’ve gone from producing a couple of basic woodworking videos to building a business. The web site, the Guild, the DVDs, the merchandise, classes, it’s quite a story. Best of all, you haven’t lost any of the humor and down-to-earth attitude.

Too bad I missed this sale (on vaca.). I need a new TWW coffee mug. My old one became loose and water got under the insulated cup. Now it tips over easily but thats alright I’ll get one sooner than later.

I missed the sale! :( Funny thing is I was watching this thinking I should get one of those long sleeve Tshirts and she says “people from downunder have been asking about them”. Glad to hear your looking after your Aussie mates.

Its freezing out in my workshop this time of year. People always think of Australia as a Sunny place full of beaches.
