HI MARK . WOULD YOU GIVE ME YOUR ASSESSMENT ON PIN OR NON PIN MOISTURE METER’S. WHICH ONE WOULD YOU TRUST . AND WHAT PERCENTAGE OF WATER DO YOU WANT FOR FINISH WORK / SCOTT SANFORD NC.

  I’m definitely not the best person to ask about meters. I use a Delmhorst meter with pins but I rarely use it. It’s supposed to be a pretty good model though. As for percentages, I’ve always read that 7-8% is good for kiln dried stock.

Dave Jeske is the owner of Blue Spruce Toolworks and is a super nice guy.
I have the bench, butt, and paring chisels. Also own his marking knife and skew chisels.
I love the butt chisels. Having the handle close to the work seems to offer a greater degree of control for me.
Look foward to a follow-up on how you like them.
What bevel angle will you use for the paring chisels?
