My wife does back of the book indexing for a living is why I asked.

I see that you have a Tags list. If you were to take those and associate the episode number with them. Put that in a database then a concordance would be created. This is a very simplified version of an index. If it could be automated then that would always updated. It might be something that could take care of its self. I used to do web database apps for a living, and it is something that once setup wouldn't take much to keep it up.

The tags are a good start. Most people wouldn't even have thought to do that.

At this point, we don't really have plans on going much further than posting the show notes. It really does come down to a matter of time. The search on the site works pretty well if you are looking for something specific, but I know that's not nearly as good as a full index. Maybe some day but for now, I don't think either one of us could justify the extra time to build the index. Great idea though!

You and Matt cover so much ground on the podcasts. There are so many small and quick tips or products that are mentioned or covered. Have you thought about indexing these. I know that you both have nothing better to keep you occupied. I have thought about doing it myself, just because I have subscribed to several podcasts and I can't remember ---- anymore.

I do when I can remember. And I did put out a Tweet/Facebook message on the day of the show. I guess you missed it.

We also have a calendar that you can refer to. http://thewoodwhisperer.com/calendar

Hey, I missed yet another live show. The only one I've attended is the one where you posted on facebook a couple hours before the show. I haven't seen a post like that since. How about making a FB post a few hours before each live show?

I don't stay on my computer all the time, but having FB on the iPhone helps me keep up sometimes.

Matt & Mark, you guys go together like peanut butter and jelly!

You are always informative and entertaining.

The CMT blades you guys talked about are great. I bought a lot of CMT blades and bits from WoodWerks while working in Ohio. They are fantastic and I recommend that the audience jump on them.

BTW, regarding the HF dental pics, Darrell told me that "real" picks work much better. The tips on the picks used by dentists never break, unlike the HF version. George Knudson, who works with Darrell, has a source for the real ones (I think his wife works in a dentists' office).

Hey, I didn't know that it was supposed to be hard to sharpen jointer blades? Granted, mine is a 6" model. Sometimes ingorance is bliss. I recently bought my first one used and I just went ahead and did it in the same manor as I learned for chisels, and after re-installing they seem to peel off the wood quick nicely. The most challenging aspect was locking all three blades back down at the same height. I trial and errorred that technique, but it seemed to end with good results.
