Great table. Did you use any fasteners? Or just the dowels. I love the idea, and the double storage levels. Makes a great place to hide stuff. Very usable and sellable.

Very nice table viewed by itself I was uncertain if I liked it but seeing it in the living room made it look really good. Great first time project keep up the good work. Dave

That’s a handsome table. Looks perfect with the tetsubin and cups. (though you may want to use coasters :-)

I’m not a big fan of doweled joints, and gluing end grain to end grain can be problematic, but your workmanship looks clean and the joints look good and tight–not an easy thing on such a long joint.

For a first project, I’d say it’s pretty impressive.

Sometimes the simplest designs are the best ones. I think you guys did a wonderful job. The proportions are great and the finish looks good as well. Did you cross cut the mitres on the table saw or did you use a circular saw and straight edge?
