This week’s project is submitted by Dave.  Let’s check it out:

“I finally got my table finished.  I downsized mine to a 4 x 4 top and two bay support cabinet.  I also added adjustable shelves in the storage bay and casters to allow mobility”.

And for anyone who hasn’t seen them yet, here are the two episodes I did on building a torsion box assembly table and base: Torsion Box & Base
We also have the DVD available for purchase (contains both videos and an additional sideshow) in our store.

That is *very* good looking and gives me some ideas for when I can get around to building one. Love the casters idea too – esp for an assembly table (probably dont need it to be as base-stable as a workbench).

Dave, very nice job. Thats another project on my list to do. Hope mine turns out as well as yours did.

looks awesome! the uniform size aspect makes it look very balanced.

That looks great, I’m building a similar box. I have limited space so was hoping to be able to use it as a workbench and an assembly bench. I want to add a vice and some dog stops. Do you think that this will take away too much of the stength of the torsion box?
