Tools.com – New Tool Website
Just want to give you guys a heads up on a new and potentially awesome site, Tools.com. The site is only in beta right now but promises to be a great resource for all tool buyers. The primary function of the site appears to be price comparisons. Site owners Alex and Jim say, “We knew the last thing the Internet needed was another website selling tools. Instead, we thought, why not make a site that compares tool prices from the Internet’s best tool sellers?” So imagine you are in the market for a new drill. Simply find the drill on Tools.com and you’ll immediately have a quick listing of the current prices at various vendors. This is a site to keep your eye on. If they deliver on their promise, its going to be an incredible resource!

Those pop-up adds are pretty nasty.
I’ll stick with toolseeker.com, much nicer layout, imo.
Im on Firefox with a Mac and didnt see any popups. Well, hopefully they’ll read these comments and take the feedback to heart.
Thanks for the info Marc. I didn’t have any popups with firefox or explorer 8 using vista. Do you know how long it will be in Beta?
I’ve always liked http://www.frozenwarrior.com/~pricewatch/
Great resource.
Thanks for the write-up, Marc. I’m sorry one of your readers saw pop-ups because we don’t use any, whatsoever. We’re working hard to come out of BETA, but we have hundreds of thousands of tools to get through first. I hope your readers find us useful.
