This week’s project should look familiar. I had a few requests for “beauty shots” of the final product. So, here you go! Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing these with us! They definitely show off the details that make the table so beautiful Too bad there isn’t a way for us to get to feel the wood. This is definitely a piece that make you want to fondle it.

Looks good Marc. Now the question is can you make another one for when your better half wants one on each side of the couch.

Sweet! I particularly like the top-down view.

Steve, I’m sure Marc is working on “TouchVision” as we speak. :)

If Marc events “touch vision”, that may be the last we see of him.
He’ll be of in the Bahama’s somewhere with his toes in the sand.

Marc - I have been following the building of the project. You came up with a very beatuiful piece. The top is not what I expected, but the creation is just beautiful. Your a true “master” woodworker.
Keep the projects and podcasts coming.

It turned out nice, but I feel the base is “too heavy” for the small top..it looks a little out of scale to me.

    Marc,
I feel that the stainless steel rods extend to much or the top could be a bit larger, also the center of the base is overpowering for the size of the top. ( Oh I know I’m on your s–t list now)

lol. Well if I was that easily annoyed by criticism, I wouldn’t make it very far in this line of work. Whether it’s my videos or my woodwork, I look forward to my daily, “You shoulda done this….” emails. :)

And my design preferences are no more or less valid than yours. Again, there is no right or wrong here……..just opinions…

I really enjoyed watching the videos and leanring about your design process. The thing about a piece of art it that is stimulates the artistic juices in all of us. At a minimum the crtitical thinking juices which spark creative ideas of how to personalize the work to our own tastes or the many different ways to interpret the possibilities.

Having sparked such discussion, you my sir must now be considered the artwhisperer!

Isn’t there an old saying about opinions being like something else?

    Marc,
It turned out Great! The top is over the top for me! Still think a small bit of glass wouldn’t hurt. lol
Really top notch… or is it dove tail?

MARC….this guy totally stole your design!!
    haha
Those 2 wide, “squirly” boards laminated for the top make me a little nervous…is there less of a chance of warpage in your stable desert air, or were you just designing with a solely aesthetic approach?

anyway, unique piece, cant say ive seen anything like that….nice floater ;)

Got something to say?
