A few chat room/forum regulars got together at their local woodworking show this weekend. Rob sent me this great picture and a brief synopsis.
“Four of us TWW regs ended up meeting up in person for the first time at the Boston Woodworking show yesterday. From left to right in the attached picture, Lance (Charger), myself, Andy (AndyFew), and Dave (Rustic Joy) all made the trip. It was a good time, and most of us made some great purchases (except for Charger who spent more time trying to reverse engineer everything in his head). I think special credit goes to Dave who just came back from serving in Korea, and who had to drive back to the Kansas immediately following the show (although, I was a bit concerned that as a forward observer in the US Army he still got lost on his way to the WW show even though he had a GPS). I was a bit disapointed though that not a single person in the crowd commented on my Schwarz tee shirt. Clearly a Normite-heavy mix at the show!”

Hey, somebody get that Andy guy a haircut already! LOL… I’d hate for anyone to see a picture of me at that age. I had managed to block it out until someone pulled out old pictures, but I had a wicked head of hockey-hair/mullet at that age. You know what they say, “Business up front, party in the back.”
There seem to be more than a few Ohioans hanging around here. Would anyone be up for a meetup, maybe in May for the Lie-Nielsen hand tool event at Popular Woodworking?
Sounds like you guys had a great time. Welcome home to Dave!!! Thank you for all that you do!!! Hooah!
what can I say, except, you guys suck. had to do it on a weekend I had to work…..
Charger, you’re becoming quite a socialite, aren’t you? :)

Hope you guys had a real nice time. Also I think when I was in Dodge City I saw a wanted poster that looked alot like that photo. Lucky stiffs.
aw yeah, another EXCELLENT picture of me. Im bad under pressure ;) Yeah, it truly was a great time
Yeah, well I got stuck standing next to the 6 foot 5 guy. why does that always happen to me? And yes, I think for a guy that doesn’t even drive Charger really does get around.
Yeah It helps to have a great family and great friends as well. I had a blast and look forward to meet each and everyone one of you on TWW.
