Muiris - there are cleats at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Screws (3.5") were driven into the studs, and countersunk holes plugged. It worked well for me. I built my own about a year ago. I used cypress. This can be a very rewarding project not to mention saving a TON of cash. I had mine quoted before I decided to build.
