Well if I finally win, I hope it’s the Katz’ DVD set. I just got Chris’ book in the mail today. So Marc, out of the benches in his book, which would you build and why. I’m loving the French workbench. It seems to be the most versatile. Plus, I just love the looks of the beast.

French. Definitely French. And for the same reasons as you.

Love the site! I love rewatching the episodes over and over again, you are on your way to be the Norm Abrams for a whole new generation. Keep up the great work!

Couldn’t wait, I already ordered it! I’ve been researching workbench design and have seen a few I like(French, German, swedish…), but trying to desipher how to build one was a challenge without actual plans! Now I have them.

On a different note: Assembly table now has the drawers in it (ugh!). Was I bit of a pain on the uneven concrete floor, not to mention I’m getting too old to contort my body like I did to align the drawers… Cabinet doors and drawer faces left to do! Well, then there’s the torsion box top isn’t there… Later!

I got my copy of the workbench book a few days ago, and it is great! Lots of photos and reproductions from old books. It’s almost like an autobiography, too. Very useful to learn where Schwarz is coming from when he draws various conclusions. And maybe most of all it teaches, sometimes almost by accident, how you’re supposed to use your bench.

Anyhow, I can’t remember if I had registered in the past for one of your giveaways: What’s the chance of being gutted like a fish by Nicole if I send it in again?

  6. Pat Boyd In Monroe, CT on January 7th, 2008 9:46 am

LOL! What Matt said! I can’t remember if I registered in the past either. I’ve been married 25 yrs… Don’t want to be on YOUR wife’s S-List also! :)

  7. Denny on January 7th, 2008 11:37 am

I’m in the same boat as Mattias and Pat. I can’t remember if I registered for the TWW giveaways. I don’t want to duplicate my registration and create extra work for Nicole.

Marc or Nicole, how can we verify if we are registered for the TWW giveaways without being gutted or getting on a S-list?

  8. thewoodwhisperer on January 7th, 2008 12:34 pm

Hey guys. If you aren’t sure, you can send in another email. My joke about Nicole getting pissed was more of a deterrent for those who felt entering multiple times would increase their chances of winning. So if you can’t remember, just send in another one.

  9. Mattias in Durham, NC on January 8th, 2008 11:38 am

Marc, Thanks! That’s what I figured, but you can’t be too sure. I will be sure to mention my gutless free pass when I register.

My wife thinks your site is the greatest. With all of the information I get from your site, she thinks that I can now do anything. Since we are living in and restoring a Two story Victorian house built in 1890, all I can say is “Gee Thanks”. :-)
