Greene & Greene Gadget Station

This Viewer Project comes from Margaret from Magnolia Works. Let’s hear what she has to say!

p1010017I decided to answer your challenge to build a Gadget Station. I built one in Greene & Greene style, designed after a lantern in the Gamble House in Pasadena, California. My Station is made of genuine mahogany with ebony accents. It has a layered stained glass panel in the door, glass shelves with 1/8″ slots and stepped back panels for cord access. The drawer has vents in the bottom for air circulation and is sized for a surge protector. Thank you for your inspiration!

That is one sa-weet gadget station! It would seem applying a Greene & Greene style to any kind of woodworking project turns out beautifully.

    • Thank you for your kind words, and thank you Mark for your inspiration and challenge to create this project. The Greene and Hall brothers are definitely an inspiring to us and give us a challenge to improve our skills.

Wonderful piece! I really enjoyed your website too. Nice classical guitar music!

    • Thank you, Gary for your kind words. During the day I teach middle school computer lab. One of my eighth grade students, Isaac Cerrato, created my music for me using GarageBand. I paid him, and he got an “A.”

  3. Dan says:

An attractive, original design. One would never guess it houses high-tech gear. I enjoyed your web site too. That workbench you built is prettier than my dining room table.
