Would an ambient filter work good enough for a 2-car garage shop with one table saw and the rest hand power tools?

I use a mask, a fan and leave the garage door open, but you can see it floating around regardless.

Thanks again!

Same here - I'm actually pretty anal about it - I have both the HEPA filter AND the dust bag in my shopvac - I gotta make sure that nothing gets outta there, plus, it keeps the shopvac in better shape, keeps the HEPA filter cleaner, and makes it all so much easier to clean.

Totally agree Vic. I know that made a HUGE difference in my shop vacs immediate and long-term performance.

Even better than getting a hepa filter for the shopvac, is using a dustbag insert. It'll keep the motor healthy longer and the suction doesn't degrade as the filter gets clogged, like it will without a dust bag.
