    Even better than getting a hepa filter for the shopvac, is using a dustbag insert. It’ll keep the motor healthy longer and the suction doesn’t degrade as the filter gets clogged, like it will without a dust bag.

    Totally agree Vic. I know that made a HUGE difference in my shop vacs immediate and long-term performance.

    Same here - I’m actually pretty anal about it - I have both the HEPA filter AND the dust bag in my shopvac - I gotta make sure that nothing gets outta there, plus, it keeps the shopvac in better shape, keeps the HEPA filter cleaner, and makes it all so much easier to clean.
