Hello Janwelmers;
          I have often thought about this compressor tank rusting through.
Thanks for the idea it sounds good but I don't know if it will ever happen. I look at that monstrosity and say man that thing is heavy. Maybe if I didn't have a 20 year honey-do list plus redoing the house inside and out I could make it happen. So its going on the list hopefully I"ll get to it before it blows. But if I don't hopefully I won't be standing next to it. Claude

thanks for the pict.
like the rack idea
just a tip for your compressor.
drain all the water inside and let it dry out completely inside
take off all the tubes and close all the openings with tape, also the drain.
put some undercoat liquid [used foor cars] like "rust bullet" in the tank and turn the whole tank slowly around in all directions.
it is a little bit of a struggle especially with the bigger tanks you will need some help.
drain out the excess of liquid.
let it dry for a day and put everything back in place.
it will help to prevent rust in the tank.
by the way i do that also with the bottoms of airconditionings and givews a couple of extra years of the lifexpectancy.
hope you can use it.

Okay, there's idea #1 I'm gonna steal. I like how you've got those little cubbies underneath left left side of your miter saw. Can't tell you how much of my life I spend pushing crap out of the way that I've left on the counter next to my saw.

And BTW, that's no compressor. I think we just found out where Saddam hid the WMDs.

Okay, here is my story and I'm sticking to it. My shop is located in my 40 x 48 pole barn. The space directly though the red(east) door is a 20 x 20 space we call the workout room. It serves that purpose and also for Christmas and Thanksgiving parties for a big family. Adjacent to this room (north) is a 20 x 24 foot spray booth for painting cars/trucks. We actually have painted 2 trucks in there. But most of the time it serves as finishing booth for my woodworking and as a huge closet. Just west of that room is a 16 x 24 ft. space that I call the auto shop where I work on vehicles lawn mowers, etc. It has 12 ft.4 in ceilings all around. I always wanted to put a atuo/truck lift in it but that never happened. Claude
