Thanks for posting the woodworking furniture plans for this hope chest. I’ve been wanting to make one of these but I really wanted to find some good plans before I tried to tackle it. Thanks for posting the link.

Keith I truly love your blanket chest. I would like to build one for my granddaughter who is 10 months old.
I would like to buy the plans for this blanket chest. Is this possible. Again it is a beautiful blank chest.

Hi Keith, just found your thread on Sawmill Creek about your project building a Tabletop Shuffleboard Game. I know it’s been a while since you finished this project but we are trying to build one also, but so far have not been able to find the rules to play this game. Uhh…..I was hoping nobody would catch that. LOL!

The change in grain direction on the sides was simply a lack of attention on my part. I just didn’t pay enough attention to that detail. While I don’t think it detracts at all, I know it’s there and it bugs me!

Thanks, Jim! The sides are joined to the front using M/T as well. Once it was all glued up, it was very sturdy.

I don’t think that I needed them, but I liked the way they looked on an example I saw a while back. They were really easy to shape. I like the way it came out.

Sweet box. I’m making one as well – a little different style though. My wife wants dovetails. Question: What was the reason for switching grain direction on the side panels? The finish looks superb! I’ve got to write this one down.
