AWFS is always a blast, even though this year we could see the effects of the economy in both corporate presence and attendance. But there were still some great products to see. In this video, you’ll see the following demos:
Rockler: Tapering Jig, Box Joint Jig, Bench Cookies
Tenryu: Festool Blades, Silencer series
Kreg: Beaded Faceframe System
DeWalt: New Lithium Ion Battery technology
SawStop: Professional Cabinet Saw
Gorilla Gripper: The Gorilla Gripper

I’m liking those bench cookies. What a great idea…
I already have the Gorilla Gripper – works like a charm…

Hey Ben. Try installing the latest version of Flash for your browser and see if that helps:

The dust collection in the new SawStop saw is interesting.
I think the Kreg style and rail system for cabinets is very interesting.
That throat plate design is pretty handy. I understand it’s more Involved than just the insert….Wish my original sawstop had one. I need to call them to see if a retro fit is an option. BTW they sport some of the best custmer service I’ve experienced. They should train the help at my local city hall.
I, too, am sold on the bench cookies, how did I ever live without them and I don’t even have them yet! That plywood lifting device is so simple, why didn’t I invent that 20 yrs ago ??
I would like to say, thank you for doing what you do on this site. I am newer to woodworking in experience, but have studied it for years. ( I didn’t have the tools). Though I still don’t have all the tools you have helped me learn alot about tools and techniques. Seeing the High School competition was inspiring to say the least it also made me a little jealous. But thank you very much.
