That is beautiful. Maybe ash isn't one of the typical "show" woods people love to use and talk about using, but I think that the figure in that piece is pretty cool, and the finish came out great. I've been using ash in some cutting boards I've been making for family members, and after doing that I've been wanting to use it for other pieces. How easy, overall, was it to work? I've pretty much just milled and cut it on tablesaws, so I'm unsure of its ease of use with other tools and doing things besides cutting big chunks into smaller chunks. “Plain ole’ Ash” my, well, ash!
