Nicole and I thought it would be fun to celebrate the show’s 3rd anniversary by going back to Episode 1, and making fun of everything I say. Actually it was quite interesting to observe the state of woodworking content at the time and compare it to what we have today. Hard to believe the difference three years makes! But its been a hell of a journey and we can’t wait to see what the next three years brings!

Hey Mark!
Nice job. It’s always fun looking at your own baby pictures!
Hey – how’s the new shop coming along?
You have done a great job in 3 years. Thanks Nicole for supporting Mark. I think you do a great job in explaining detail and why you do things the way you do – even if it is just because. Your sense of humor may be slightly twisted but I do enjot it..
Happy Birthday :)!
The current iTunes HD feed has 123 videos in it, including this one. Congrats!
So, paper towel holder for the next Guild project? (Ponders invoking the ‘double dog dare’. )
Should have put an “Obey Henry” sticker on the laptop, would have been awesome, haha, great job so far. Keep it up
Way to go, guys! Awesome work.. three years!
Congrats Marc and Nicole on a great 3 years. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations Marc, and Nicole! Pretty cute, a blue drinking cup for the boy and a pink one for the girl!
I didn’t start my woodworking interests until this year, so when I found Marc’s site, it was like Eureka! Since then I’ve been trying to catch up on the back log of TWW videos, and articles.
Best damn show period. I hope this stays on for along time.
Congrats aagin.
This is a nice glimpse at the couple behind the podcast. When I watch the episodes, and I see the collaboration of the two of you, I think about how nice it is to be in such a supportive relationship (I thankfully include myself in that). More than once I’ve thought, “I bet it would be nice to have Marc and Nicole over for dinner.”.
Certainly, I enjoy the woodworking side of the shows…a lot! It just seemed like a good time to mention something that I’ve thought all along, that I like watching the shows even more because you two seem like good people, in addition to the great show content.
Congrats on 3 years!
Marc and Nicole,
Thank you for this resource to learn about woodworking. It is a great way to learn how to use all these tools sitting in my garage. Keep up the good work.
That was perfect. Thanks for the insights on how the pod cast developed. Keep up he good work.
Congrats on making it 3 years Mark.
You share good information and bring a great personality and sense of humor to the world of woodworking.
Keep up the good work.
Marc, that is one awesome tshirt!
Thanks for the three years, hope to thank both of you many more times in the future.
I’ll say it again, thanks for everything. You have helped not only make happy woodworkers, but also helped how many make new friends that we never would have met!! Keep it up and keep it real, embarrassing yourself is good, it keeps you humble.
Nate
A great 3 years and I wish you many more to come.
Marc,
Just wanted to say that your site helped me get back into woodworking and it keeps me excited to do my next project or try using a new technique you have used.
Matt
P.S. The shirt is awesome. Knowing is half the battle.
Congrats,
1. Your crack about tooth picks and paper towel holders was really funny.
2. You two do a fantastic job and thank you for taking the time to provide this resource.
Mark
I love the fact that you have involved your wife in your woodworking. A few years ago, I did the same. No, Theresa will never have the love of woodworking like I do, but she loves to come out to the shop and work on home projects with me. At first, I was not too excited about her being in my space; after all, I play in my shop to escape the real world of teaching high risk children in a high poverty school district. After a while though, I love forher to join me for small projects. This lead me to involve my children. I have built several pieces of furniture with my children. In particular, I let them design the piece, and together we build it.
Bryan
Congrats, I have really enjoyed it
Hey Marc, not only r ur looks diminishing but ur gettin grays 2!! ha-ha now I don’t feel so bad.! (I kid I kid!) You and Nicole make an awesome team and I’ve always thought that. That show, the site, all ur content has been excellent and the “dry” sense of humor just make the icing. Thanks. Congratulations and wishing for many more!!
Marc and Nicole,
It has been a very interesting, educational and fruitful 3 years for me. I do a lot of DIY projects (remodeling, etc.) and there are a lot of good sites for them. But for furniture and related fine woodworking TWW and the Guild is by far the best site out there in my book.
I noticed the other day the cutting board vid on Youtube has crested 90,000+ views. Thats just swesome! Congrats to you both
Ah .. thanks for reminding me that I’ve been following this website for the past 3 years now .. :-)
Marc and Nicole
Congratulation on both the +100th episode and 3rd year anniversary!
Wishing both of you many more years of woodworking and pod-casting fun!
Joe
LOL! It’s hard to believe it’s actually been three years. Both you and Nicole are great people and I’m overjoyed at your success! Btw, I HAVE lost most of my hair since the beginning of this “crazy” experiment. I’m not only happy for the two of you, but also for all the garage woodworkers you’ve inspired over this time that will become the next Maloof, Krenov, or Frid. Mostly, I’m happy for myself: for my friendship with you two and all those I’ve met through your various links!
THANK YOU!!
Marc and Nicole,
I’m happy for you that things are going so well.
Today happens to be my anniversary also and I’m glad to see you feel as grateful to your wife as I feel to mine.
Marc and Nicole,
Thanks so much for all the hard work and sacrifice you two have put into this site/podcast/reference. I found your site about a year ago as i was searching for any woodworking video i could get my hands on. I stumbled upon your site through a google search or something and literally spent all night watching “The Wood Whisperer”. I love the content and anxiously wait for each new video as well as refer to past episodes for tips ideas and to train myself to be a better woodworker. I can truly say that your efforts have ignited my woodworking fire (aka “obsession”)!!!
Thanks again and good luck on the next “20 years”!!!
Congrats on your 3 years of success. I enjoy your site alot. I check it out daily.
Thanks Marc and Nicole! The content you provide through the web site and podcasts is awesome. It has inspired me. My wife really appreciates that part.
Steve
awe.. you guys are way too kind! It’s a total honour and pleasure to be involved with such a wonderful project!
Congrats you guys!! Loved watching you guys from the beginning and looking forward to many more!!
I believe it is appropriate to give a big thanks to Nicole for taking that long trip, and leaving Mark alone to come up with this great idea.
I came by this website/podcast some months ago, and have found it so great and inspiring that I have already seen most of the videos. And now have a lot of cool tips for my own projects.
Thanks and congrats..
Just realised, October 10 is my birthday too! Congratulations Marc.
Cheers,
Carl
Marc and Nicole,
Thank you for all that you have done. Marc, you and Norm are my two primary teachers in the world of woodworking. Thank you for allowing me to me an eager student.
Keep up the great work. I think this site is about the best out there.
I stumbled onto the podcast on iTunes about 6-8 months ago. (It wasn’t the first podcast I picked up, but I discovered the quirky humor and actual content, not to mention a recognizable accent, and non-grainy video, actually got me interested in woodworking. And beyond just the paper towel holder project…)
Thank you for making me an addict. I have discovered this is the second site I visit when I log on in the morning, and the last site I visit when I’m logging off. (as evidenced by the fact I’m posting this at 4:15 AM est) For the most part, you have been true to the initial “mission statement,” and I have no complaints.
(a suggestion, however: in the early episodes, you have a graphic with “tool tips” that pop up periodically. Perhaps you could do those once in a while, almost in the same vein as the correction for the stopped dado in the entertainment cabinet…)
I could go on, but I shall instead end by simply saying: Thank you. You have made wood working alive in a way that others have not, and we shall forever more be changed for the better because of it.
Hey Guys,
Lots of laughs looking back, and it already seems way longer than three years (bet it does to you too). You already know I’m a big fan, but got just this to say. You set the higher standard for woodworking sites. Before The Woodwhisperer woodworking sites were hum drum or unknown. You woke up the world of woodworkers to using the Internet and all the rest of the world (especially the magazines…LOL) have been trying to catch up. From all of us who love the trade/hobby and learn volumes from sites like yours…A Huge Thanks…for setting such a great standard for the others to follow.
You guys are just awesome! Not wonder the show has done as well as it has: we have people like you guys supporting us! Thanks everybody!
Marc and Nicole:
I am obviously behind on the videos and I am catching up. We are VERY happy to be a part of your venture and look forward to being loyal supporters of The Wood Whisperer for years to come. Congrats on the milestone!
All of your friends at Eagle America
Congratulations!
Marc & Nicole, thank you for all your hard work and great presentations… you’re doing good!
Keep it up!
Have fun!
Joe
Congratulation Marc and Nicole on a terrific and successful 3 years. I have been watching you from nearly the start and I love the show and the improvements you have made. It’s been fun to see you grow…you are the best woodworking show out there. Here’s hoping you continue this run for many years to come.
Congratulations on your 3 years! You are a wealth of inspiration and technical know-how. You expressed your thanks to Nicole for her efforts in all this. I have always enjoyed that personal touch in your work.
Thank you for all you do for the rest of us!
Hi Nicole, hi Mark,
Happy Birthday for 3 years of amazing woodworking videos, pod casts, hints and fun. You two did a very fine job from the beginning up to today. Thanks for sharing your experience, especially the safety tips with us. Every week I’m waiting impatiently for the new TWW WraUp.
How’s your new shop growing?
Best wishes for the future and kind regards from Germany

3 yrs old yippie!!!!!
Happy anniversary !!!
3 years allready wow..
nice wife you have Marc ;o)
Marc and Nicole- Early in 2007 I was stumbling around in the dark room that is beginning woodworking when I discovered one of your vids on youtube. Prior to that my image of woodworkers was, well, Norm.
Now, Norm is great, but, I was 37 years old and failing miserably at, yet still attempting to be “cool”. I wasn’t sure if the woodworking community was for me… yet. Then I see this goofy, young guy with tattoos and a pretty wife, that he obviously loves, creating fantastic works of art in wood.
Did I mention he was goofy? I mean goofy in the great, fun, sincere, silly way that is hard to find.
Needless to say I was hooked. I could relate to you and felt there was room for me in this environment. Thank you both for all that you do. Keep it up!!
3 years congratulations…keep it up guys!!
I love your website, I am fairly new to woodworking and have already learned a ton from you and other members posts. Thanks, Doug
